Hi, how are you doing? Thanks for your time. First of all, you may introduce your band to the world.
Mr. Latex (everything): I'm doing well, thanks. In a resume, LATEX is an Industrial-Fetish-Porno-Rock band, and I make all the art and record all the instruments. Putting pieces of my soul in each word, each accord, and each shouts, making music all my thoughts, sensations, emotions, feelings and facts of my personal life.

What was the idea behind forming Latex as a solo project?
Mr. Latex: Its flowed by itself, I played with several bands and the results did not satisfied me. Then, I decided to do something more personal: I started to auditioning musicians and didn’ t found the right ones to commit with the music and project. I had a lot of material but I realized that I was running alone, so then I started to learn to play all the instruments by myself. I recorded "Die, and Live Forever" in 2000, a experimental album, developing ideas and songs by myself, I became mimetized with the music, then I realized that to express the musical idea that I want, I must record them by myself (but; I not discard any collaborations in the future) and in this way it all came together in a solo project, and all is to make a voluptuous and unique band, and this is just the beginning.

What are your main influences?
Mr. Latex: They are too many! I grew up listening to rock & roll, and the electronic music always rang a bell on me, and the movie sountracks made me thrill, and always called my attention the contra-Culture, Magic, and Vampirism, and I complete myself sumerge my head and my body in the fetishism, that will always stay latent in me.

Your EP PornoStar recieved some good ratings from our zine. What is your own view on it?
Mr. Latex: Make me happy! I think it is great, I put a lot of work in this songs, and PornoStar is the first song I ever wrote for LATEX in 1998! With the years, I recorded various versions and improved the songs to the present version.

And how did people in Argentina reply? And what about other press?
Mr. Latex: In Argentina, the people are too close-minded when it comes to local and news bands. The are not many people that take the music seriously and contributing with the bands, for luckily, between all this shit, appears people that’s are surprised to see a band like LATEX playing, and congratulate me for playing and to keep going. In this fucking country is too hard, and for the other hand, the press of others country reacting in very positive way with the LATEX project, and like me, they wish the band be more active, with a new album and go out to touring around the world, and this is what I am trying to accomplish.

When I look at the live pics, I see that Latex is a good showband. What can a stranger expect at a Latex gig?
Mr. Latex: The unexpected, living the moment, they are too energetic with atmospheric interims, and right back energetic shocks of music, with beautiful Performers-Dancers in a Fetish-Sexual tint. Accompanying all the show, and each show is difernt of the other.

What can we expect of Latex in the future?
Mr. Latex: Too many things. I have a many ideas to concrete, I have at least 50 songs to record! The next year, I want to shoot two more video clips, and edit 2 ep’s. Also, I have found some company to support my projects, editing my music and go on tour around the world.

The interview ends here, thanks again for your time. If you have something to add you can do it here.
Mr. Latex: Thanks to you for your support, and your good will too the band. Thanks too all the people who believe in LATEX and Let’s Fuck!!!.
