First of all, please introduce your band to the
readers.
VX-5 (synths & vocals): Cynergy 67 is an
electronic/metal band from Wisconsin USA, with 5 members
VX-5 synths/vox, Evo-1 guitar, Pheonix-4 Bass, Sinthetik
Drums, and TEK lights and visuals.
How did things get started with Cynergy 67?
VX-5: VX-5 and Evo-1 have had been trying to
create something like this for a few years with no luck
finding other members with the same interest. So we
decided to fire the previous band members and do it our
way. Cynergy became that in 2001. Being the 2 of us we
thought Cynergy was a fitting name.
How would you describe your music?
VX-5: A Blend of electronic and rock styles.
Something that give a little bit to everyone. Lots of
dance elements but with enough for the stompers. I think
weve done a good job of creating something not always
heard.
What are your main influences?
VX-5: My personal influences draw a lot from 80's
New Wave music. Plus the rock I grew up with but always
leaned to the electronic side of things. The rest of the
members are more rock influenced so it helps to blend
the styles. My love for visuals helped a lot in creating
the live show as well.
You released an EP last year. What can people who are
considering to buy it tell about it?
VX-5: That EP was a demo of 4 new songs that we
decided to make available for sale because we were past
due on the full length cd. It is a good sample of what
you can expect from Cynergy. The songs on that ep will
be rerecorded and added to the upcoming fall 2007
release "Project:Assimilation"
What replies did you get by press and audience so far?
VX-5: We have had a lot of positive replies from
fans and press. The fans we have are very loyal and are
always there for us. The press has been especially kind
to us in the reviews and articles they have done. All in
all it has been all positive. And this year we will make
even better.
What is your favourite track of the release and why?
VX-5: Thats a tough one. But if I have to choose
just one I would say "The Touch". I wrote that song from
the viewpoint of how would I feel if i lost my wife. Its
a very personal and emotional song and I feel it
everytime i hear it or play it live.
What are your other passions next to music?
VX-5: Well music does take up most of my time and
thought. I do other type of work in music such as
remixing and booking for a larger company. I do enjoy
movies a lot. I also like to study and profile serial
killers. I would love to profile and catch serial
killers. Im also very into my home life outside of
music. When im not recording or touring I like to just
sit at home and be a family guy sometimes.
What can we expect of Cynergy 67 in the future?
VX-5: Cynergy 67 is lawys trying to improve and
better our live performance and music. Just how we like
to challenge ourselves to always go another step up. In
2007 you will see the release of our 2nd DVD which will
feature a video for our song "give me" along with a
documentary, and some outtakes. Our first dvd did really
well so we decided on a second only 8 months after.
Radio-Active-Music.com will be issuing a re-release of
our first cd "New Machine" in January or February 2007.
This will be a limited numbered and autographed release.
We will be doing our Cyber Perversion tour in March and
April 2007 then taking a break to finally finish the new
cd. After the new cd is complete we will hit the road
again to promote it.

to Europe to play and I believe this helps to build our
fan bases there. All the fans and friends of Cynergy, we

year to remember for Cynergy 67.
