First of all, could you give us a brief introduction about your band?
Well, we were born in the end of 1999 and in 2000 the first album "Progression to impurity" was out; then, in 2002 we recorded the album "Vivere di Male/The Evil within", that marked some important changes in the sound, due to the introduction of industrial-avantgarde inputs. In 2004 here's "HIV Parade", with the presence of a cold drum-machine instead of a human drumming...last year we recorded the 4 tracks promo-cd for our next full-lenght "Universal Murder", that saw also the entering in line up of Nevropathic, who provides for programming and synths. Now we are mixing the new material and looking for a serious label in order to release it when it will be defined and completed. By the way, from January CDG Records (UK) re-released "HIV Parade" album in an elegant dvd-format case, with a different artwork and booklet with lyrics.

We haven´t heard much of you lately... what happened?
As I told you, we had some changes in the line-up and we took this time to organize our ideas and to be totally open-minded in order to record fresh, innovative and personal music; since "HIV Parade" had 14 tracks for almost 1 hour of inferno, I also think it's quite normal to have a longer break, you know what I mean.

The new promo had good replies for our zine, and a few progressions were mentioned. Do you agree with the mentioned things?
Yes, absolutely. It sounds as we feel now and it exactly shows our actual conception of "extreme music with an extreme attitude".

What can we expect of the new release?
As i told you in the introduction: UNIVERSAL MURDER will be the title, 9 the number of tracks, we will see for the release date and the label.

Will Impure Domain go and play live shows now too?
Who knows? By my side, i don't like too mush playing live gigs, but if the future will get us cool opportunities, why not?

What is your opinion on the local scene in Italy?
Sincerely speaking, I don't care so much about it, there are too many bands, and most of them really boring. My personal admiration goes to IPERYT, DHG, TRISTWOOD, WELTBRAND, ABORYM.

What are your opinions on religion?

Well, through these years I have built a private point of view about religion, not to be shared with others; I can tell you I believe in mysticism, but not in dogmas. Anyway, IMPURE DOMAIN is completely anti-religious, in the common sense of the term. All great truths begin as blasphemies. Moreover, I must admit I am adopting A.C. MILAN soccer team as my GOD through these years, hehehe.

And what about politics?

It's really a dog-eat-dog situation: there are always the same closed ranks for the political pigs on one side, and the "crowd" on the other side. Here in Italy the political scene seems so far away from the real needs of the population, they all look like fucking rockstars in our daily TV programs. I don't give a fuck to this shit, may they all be dead.

What are your own personal favorite albums?

About extreme-metal, DODHEIMSGARD "Supervillain outcast" : intense, terrifying, supreme manifestation of class and superiority; then ANAAL NATHRAKH "Hell is empty...": really a higher level of consciousness about "hurt" through sound. Regarding industrial/noise, YCOSAHATERON "La Nuit": a nightmare of steel and iron.

What are next to music your other passions in life?

Well, I'm a weird movies fanatic, die-hard books reader, supporter of Jagermeister cult.

What can we expect of Impure Domain in the near future?

I really hope we could manage to give a shape to our personal hell.

The interview ends here, thanks a lot for your time. Do you have any final words to add?

Ok, thanx a lot for the interview, your zine is among the pioneers regarding industrial metal and so on, so when it's possible come to visit in Italy and we'll have a local red wine hangover all together.
