ErilaZ is a one-man side project of the Kuroshio Current guitarist, *ErilaZ. The project was started in 2005. The intention of the project was to unleash the concrete manifestations of the deepest sources of *ErilaZ's inspiration in to the multiverse. *ErilaZ draws his inspiration from many sources. Runes, storms -- especially tornadic ones, nature and anti-modernism all share their part in *ErilaZ's musical repertoire. The name *ErilaZ also hints in the direction of which is close to the heart of this artist. Very shortly put, ErilaZ is written in Proto-Germanic and has the meaning of a Rune-Master. The asterisk in front of the name is normally used on re-constructed words of which there is no certainty whether they existed in that particular form or not. With ErilaZ, it is used to mystify the name even more -- linguistically speaking, it is not needed because there exists age-old inscriptions carrying this name. The musical career of *ErilaZ begun at the age of nine, when he was given his first guitar. Many years and tons of rehearse later, *ErilaZ was asked to join Kuroshio Current, a Finnish electro / industrial / ebm group. In 2006 Kuroshio Current was signed to UHOtrax. Kuroshio Current met with its end in late 2008 when the two remaining members, aQi and ErilaZ decided to part their ways.
